LaxBuilder came out of a frustration every serious player knows: you want to build a specific stick, so you open five browser tabs — one for the head, one for the shaft, one for mesh, a Reddit thread about stringing patterns, and some YouTube review from three years ago. An hour later you've spent $200 in your head and still aren't sure if the head and shaft you picked are even compatible.

We're competitive lacrosse players who got tired of that process. We built the tool we actually wanted to use: one place to spec a complete stick, see how it all fits together, understand the trade-offs, and buy what you need without the tab explosion. The builder isn't corporate — it's the thing we wished existed before every season.

LaxBuilder earns a small commission when you click a retailer link and make a purchase. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether you came through us or typed the URL directly.

We only recommend gear we'd actually use. Affiliate income doesn't change our picks — every head, shaft, and mesh in the builder is there because it performs, not because a brand cut us a deal. If something gets dropped from our recommendations, it's because it stopped being worth the money.

Performance over hype. We test gear in real conditions — actual practices and games, not a gym with perfect lighting and a camera. A head that looks great in a product shot but sags in the rain after two weeks isn't a recommendation.

We also don't believe in one-size-fits-all setups. An attack player at the D1 level needs a different stick than a freshman midfielder just learning to string. Our builder and guides are organized by position and play style for exactly that reason — because the "best" stick is always the one that fits how you actually play.
